Mountain & Water Environmental Policy

Mountain and Water is committed preserving and maintaining the environment in which we operate and to minimising the impact of our activity programme on the environment and wildlife.

We are committed therefore to:

• Developing a positive awareness of the environment.

• Constantly reviewing the environmental impact of the business's operations, with regard to the environment.

• The systematic identification and control of risks to environment and wildlife, as a result of activity sessions.

• Providing information, instruction, supervision of clients and consultation with staff as necessary to minimise the impact on the environment of all activities.

Mountain and Water has signed up to the Environmental Charters of the BBNP and PCNP, and is a member of the Institute for Outdoor Learning, the Marine Conservation Society and the British Mountaineering Council. The recommendations of these organisations are kept on file in the booking office, and, where appropriate, appended to the Operating Procedures.
