canoe.

3 seats.
Extremely stable and user-friendly. Also popular
with groups.

Open
Canoes.
With its large
carrying capacity, the open canoe is the craft for
exploring well off the beaten track, or for family
picnics.

'Camping'
canoe.

2 seats with
large capacity for luggage.

Day
Kayak.

Basic and
user-friendly, take your packed lunch and spare
pullover in a waterproof bag (supplied) and off you
go!

Open
Cockpit
Kayaks.
This type of
kayak is suitable for those who want to cover
distances without going onto rough water. No
capsize drill is required, as in the event of a
capsize you will fall safely out of the kayak.
These are ideal for those who want to be ON the
water, not in it.

Touring
kayak

For extended
tours, these have a compartment for equipment,
accessed by a hatch.

Whitewater-type
kayak

Manouverable, but less
straight-running. Limited capacity for carrying
kit.

Closed-Cockpit
Kayaks.
These kayaks
have relatively tight-fitting cockpits sealed with
spraydecks to keep out the water, and are ideal for
white-water or sea touring.
To use one of
these it is necessary to have practised the capsize
drill, to exit the kayak safely
underwater.

Sea-touring
kayak

Very
straight-running, but less easy to manouvre. Large
carrying capacity for kit. Suitable for experienced
kayakers only, in limited
locations.

a peaceful day on the river with a waterside picnic, to a
weekend or holiday exporing an area 'off the beaten track'
moving between campsites or B&B's; canoe or kayak
touring offers a peaceful and environmentally-friendly way
to travel.
We welcome responsible
canoeists will enjoy the waterways and countryside, leaving
it as they found it; treating wildlife and other river users
with respect.
